CreditShield is an informational tool that helps you understand your credit reports and generate dispute letters. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The information and letters generated by our Service should not be considered a substitute for professional legal counsel. If you need legal advice, please consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the CreditShield web application (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

CreditShield is an AI-powered credit repair assistance tool that provides the following services:

  • Credit report parsing and analysis
  • Identification of derogatory items and legal dispute angles
  • Cross-bureau discrepancy detection
  • AI-generated dispute letter creation
  • Bureau and collector response classification
  • Escalation strategy recommendations
  • Credit score impact estimation

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

CreditShield offers multiple subscription tiers:

  • Scan (Free): Basic credit report parsing and item identification
  • Shield ($29/month or $249/year): Full analysis, dispute letters, and 3-stage escalation
  • Fortress ($79/month or $699/year): Unlimited letters, 7-stage escalation, negotiation toolkit, and all premium features

All paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the applicable rate until you cancel.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to your paid features until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload credit reports or documents that do not belong to you without proper authorization
  • Generate dispute letters for fraudulent purposes or to dispute items you know to be accurate
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Use the Service to engage in credit repair on behalf of others for compensation without proper licensing
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
  • Violate any applicable federal, state, or local law or regulation

6. Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA) Disclosure

In accordance with the Credit Repair Organizations Act (15 U.S.C. § 1679 et seq.), we disclose the following:

  • You have the right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit report directly with the credit bureaus at no charge
  • You have the right to obtain a free copy of your credit report annually from each bureau at annualcreditreport.com
  • No one can lawfully remove accurate, current, and verifiable information from your credit report
  • CreditShield is a tool that assists you in exercising your existing legal rights under the FCRA, FDCPA, and other consumer protection laws
  • Results are not guaranteed. The outcome of any dispute depends on the specific facts and the responding party's investigation

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • No guarantee that any particular item will be removed from your credit report
  • No guarantee of any specific credit score improvement
  • No warranty that the AI-generated analysis or letters are free from errors
  • No warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service

You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated letters before sending them. You acknowledge that credit report disputes involve complex legal and factual considerations, and outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CREDITSHIELD AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CreditShield and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, AI models, legal analysis frameworks, and dispute strategies, is the intellectual property of CreditShield. You retain ownership of your personal data and the content of dispute letters generated for you.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal credit repair purposes in accordance with your subscription plan.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, are using the Service for fraudulent purposes, or are otherwise engaging in conduct that could harm us or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease, and we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
